With 85% of domain names registrations being unused, thousands
of domains are returning to the public domain every day. This
gives you a unique opportunity to register for yourself a
domain that has been previously registered. This can be done
using name:warden's backorder service.
name:warden allows you to register domains from the main
ICANN
registrars (eg .com, .org and .net), and we are also in a
position to offer you .co.uk and other UK domain
backordering, with our position as a member of the UK registrar,
Nominet,
giving you the best chance of getting the domain that you
want.
Back ordering is known also as registration of expired or
expiring domains, deleted domains, or in the case of the UK,
DETAGGED domains. There is also a proposed service called
the Wait Listing Service from Verisign however this is not
a live service nor is it likely to be in the near future;
this is often know as the "next registration rights"
programme.
